The Western Sydney University Indonesia, Surabaya Campus will open in September 2024, offering courses that have been tailored to employers, building on Western Sydney University’s world-leading partnership approach to higher education with businesses.

TEQSA is Australia's independent national regulator of the higher education sector and authorises universities to self-accredit its programs. Based on Keputusan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Nomor 83/P/2020, TEQSA is recognised as one of the international accreditation agencies by the Indonesian government. Western Sydney University has received the permit to establish a branch campus in Surabaya, East Java based on Keputusan Menteri Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi Nomor 691/E/O/2023. Based on the decree, Western Sydney University in Indonesia bachelor’s degrees are equivalent to the Indonesian Sarjana degrees.
