Bipolar Hub

The Bipolar Hub works to support people living with bipolar disorder and their families through psychological and allied health approaches. The Hub is an initiative of the School of Psychology, Western Sydney University.

About Us

Members of the Bipolar Hub working party include lived experience members of the community, psychologists and student representatives.

Bipolar Hub

The Bipolar Hub aims to provide adjunctive support to people living with bipolar disorder and their families. Primary care is maintained by the treating psychiatrist and GP as required and the hub aims to support primary clinicians in their ongoing care.

The hub does not aim to provide any acute psychiatry services or replace mental health services rather, the Bipolar Hub aims to provide specialised psychological and allied health support to members of the public located in Australia.

The Bipolar Hub will be offering online group programs via telehealth (zoom platform) as part of our research program.

Research

The research arm of the Bipolar Hub allows people living with bipolar disorder and their families to participate in ongoing research studies.  Research studies may be conducted in a range of modalities and include collaborations with key members of university research institutes such as the Translational Health Research Institute. Being located within a university, student research also plays a key role in the Bipolar Hub research activities.   Details of previous research published by members of the Bipolar Hub can be found on Research Direct.
