At Western Sydney University Indonesia, we are offering generous scholarships for the 2024 September intake to support you in your studies.

No separate applications are required for any of our scholarships. Successful scholarship recipients will receive notification of their awards in their Offer of Admission letter.

Scholarships valued up to 100% of tuition fees

We are pleased to extend undergraduate scholarships valued at up to *100% of tuition fees for our September 2024 intake in collaboration with the Australian Consulate for Surabaya. 

No separate application is required. Upon submission of your course admission application, your eligibility will be automatically assessed. If you meet all the specified eligibility criteria, your application will be forwarded to a selection panel to decide on the successful candidate.

The Dr. Dra. H. Khofifah Indar Parawansa Scholarship recognises excellence in academic achievements and will be awarded to one female student from any school in East Java province. This scholarship will cover 100% of tuition for Year 1, and 35% of tuition fee for both Year 2 and Year 3.

Programs

Any Undergraduate degree program offered by Western Sydney University Indonesia, Surabaya campus.

Eligibility criteria

The student must:

  1. Be an Indonesian citizen.
  2. Be a female student from any school in East Java province. 
  3. Submit an essay on “What Makes A Good Leader”. 
  4. Have successfully completed SMA 3 with a minimum 85% or 8.5 GPA. 
  5. Meet the Academic and English requirements for the applied undergraduate program.

The Dr. Emil Elestianto Dardak Scholarship recognises excellence in academic achievements and will be awarded to two highest academically achieving students (one male and one female student) on the senior high school exams (SMA 3). This scholarship will cover 100% of tuition fee for Year 1, and 35% of tuition fee for both Year 2 and Year 3.

Bachelor of Engineering Science (Electrical Engineering)

Eligibility criteria

The student must:

  1. Be an Indonesian citizen. 
  2. From any school in East Java province, with a grade above 85% in Science subject. 
  3. Have successfully completed SMA 3 with a minimum 85% or 8.5 GPA. 
  4. Submit an essay on “My Dream to be an Engineer”. 
  5. Meet the Academic and English requirements for the applied undergraduate program.

The City of Surabaya Mayor’s Scholarship is a a Computing Scholarship and recognises excellence in academic achievements and will be awarded to two highest academically achieving students (one male and one female student) on the senior high school exams (SMA 3). This scholarship will cover 100% of tuition fee for Year 1, and 35% of tuition fee for both Year 2 and Year 3.

Bachelor of Data Science, Bachelor of Computer Science and Bachelor of Information and Communications Technology

Eligibility criteria

The student must:

  1. Be an Indonesian citizen. 
  2. From a government school in the City of Surabaya, with a grade above 85% in Mathematics subject. 
  3. Have successfully completed SMA 3 with a minimum 85% or 8.5 GPA. 
  4. Submit an essay on “How Will Technology Transform Surabaya?” 
  5. Meet the Academic and English requirements for the applied undergraduate program.

The Australian Consul-General Scholarship is a Business Scholarship and recognises excellence in academic achievements and will be awarded to two highest academically achieving students (one male and one female student) on the senior high school exams (SMA 3). This scholarship will cover 100% of tuition fee for Year 1, and 35% of tuition fee for both Year 2 and Year 3.

Bachelor of Business (Applied Finance)

Eligibility criteria

The student must:

  1. Be an Indonesian citizen. 
  2. From any school in Central Java or East Java province. 
  3. Produce the best social media content on Australia-Indonesia Education Partnership to be judged by a selection panel. 
  4. Have successfully completed SMA 3 with a minimum 85% or 8.5 GPA. 
  5. Meet the Academic and English requirements for the applied undergraduate program.

Scholarships valued up to 50% of tuition fees

When you apply for a coursework program with Western Sydney University Indonesia, Surabaya campus you will automatically be considered for the following scholarships. A separate application is not necessary.

This Scholarship recognises outstanding academic achievements and will cover 50% of the tuition fees for three years. Successful candidates will be selected based on their academic merit and ranked in order.  

No separate application is required. All new coursework applications for admission will be automatically considered and assessed for a scholarship. If successful, your scholarship offer will be automatically applied in your program admission Offer Letter. 

Shortlisting will be conducted by a panel of officers from the University. Applicants are advised to accept the scholarship as soon as you receive your Offer of Admission letter to avoid forfeiture.

This scholarship was established to facilitate a seamless transition for our Undergraduate Indonesia campus students as they begin university. We offer 20% and 30% multi-year scholarships to be applied towards tuition fees up to a maximum of three years.  

No separate application is required. All new coursework applications for admission will be automatically considered and assessed for a scholarship. If successful, your scholarship offer will be automatically applied in your program admission Offer Letter. 

20% Multi-Year Scholarship 

Automatically qualify when you meet the minimum admission entry requirements. 

30% Multi-Year Scholarship  

Minimum academic criteria apply - SMA3 80% or equivalent.  

The scholarship is a tuition fee waiver and does not cover costs associated with living expenses, accommodation, transport or other costs associated with study.

Frequently Asked Questions

There is no specific deadline to apply for our scholarships as it is assessed along with your application. So, it will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Apply as soon as you can if you don’t want to miss out on this opportunity.

Your scholarship will be confirmed after you have satisfied all conditions, accepted your offer and all required payments are made.

Applications are assessed using the information included in your application for admission and supporting documents. Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit and on a competitive basis.

If you meet the eligibility for a Western Sydney Indonesia scholarship, the scholarship information will be outlined in your Letter of Offer for Admission.

If you have been offered a scholarship, you are advised to accept it as soon as possible because scholarships are limited and are granted on a first-come-first-served basis until filled.

To accept your scholarship, you must complete and return the scholarship recipient agreement and the admission acceptance form to the Admission Team by the indicated deadline.

Scholarships will not be granted to candidates who accept their offer after the scholarship acceptance deadline (if applicable).

You may be offered ("awarded") more than one scholarship but you are not permitted to use ("hold") more than one scholarship that contributes to tuition fees at the same time.  

No, your scholarship is only valid for the intake specified on your offer letter. Scholarships are not automatically deferred to the next commencement date.
